Ladies and Gentlemen,

Interviews

We've done some filming with the band (in german) asking them question about every album.

we are finally able to proudly announce the release of our jubilee edition. Having already begun with preparations in January, we had nearly given up hope of ever seeing this project finished. But now, here it is: all 17 albums which the Toten Hosen released between 1983 and 2002, furnished with bonus tracks by the bucketful, packed in high-quality digi packs, plus two booklets, plus loads of photographs, liner notes and interviews.

But the most important bit is: now that we are holding in hand the CDs, we can say that it was really worth it. After all, you only ever do this kind of thing once in a lifetime, and the Toten Hosen’s 25th band jubilee certainly was the appropriate occasion.

From the very beginning, everybody knew that such a re-release could only be enacted if everything was realised on the highest level: the best sound, the highest number of bonus tracks, the best possible packaging, in short, only the very best, no matter how long this would take. In order to achieve this, a great variety of problems had to be solved. For example, it took us ages to browse through the archives so that we could restore the original artwork and we had to develop near archaeological prowess to finally get to the lithographs, some of which had been stacked in the odd basement for more than twenty years. Hunting down missing photos and other graphic design elements took us months. After decades of storage, a large number of the original masters turned out to be unusable and had to be restored through very elaborate means. In other words: should we plan to repeat this kind of project in twenty years’ time, we will most certainly start two years beforehand!
