The Year 1992
Reinvigorated and with recordings for Learning English in their luggage, the band travelled the world from March until October. The "Menschen, Tiere, Sensationen" ("man, animals, sensations") Tour in Germany was followed by guest appearances in Sweden, Argentina, Brazil, England and Norway, rekindling the fires of the old Hosen performances.
Back home in Germany and by contrast, it became apparent that foreigners were received with petrol bombs and baseball bats. The Hosen answered this provocation by giving the fascist scum the finger in the form of "Sascha - ein aufrechter Deutscher" ("Sascha - an upstanding German") . Proceeds from the sale of the single were donated to the Duesseldorf Appeal against Racism and Hostility towards foreigners." The unsuccessful and equally pathetic attempts by the Republicans to have the song banned on account of it disparaging their party, served only to promote it all the more, earning over half a million marks for the appeal.
The Hosen also took part in an anti-racist rally in the Hofgarten in Bonn along with Groenemeyer, Nina Hagen in front of over 60,000 demonstrators.
