Rock in the Park, on the Parking and on the Ring 04.06.-06.06.2004

Our highlight of the festival summer 2004: Vom was elected "Mr. Thousand Stages" during the "Rock im Park" and "Rock am Ring" concerts; we already appeared Saturday night, on the parking lot of the Nürburgring; and apart from drumming legend Wölli and Kuddel's son Tim two more guest musicians collaborated on stage.

Rock in the Park, on the Parking and on the Ring

FRIDAY: Friday evening, at 21:00 hrs on the spot, we were on stage of the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg. First, we went to see great bands such as Bad Religion and Beatsteaks on the “Alternastage”, and this served as inspiration for us to rock the “Centerstage”. And even though from that minute on it rained non-stop for one and a half hours, the audience showed maximum staying power and they were celebrating a great party that we very happily joined in.
GUEST APPEARANCES: Vom lost while playing Kikcer with Jan-Dirk of the Donots during “Rockim Park”, so he had to play drums live on stage to their track “Superhero”. But that was by far not his only guest appearance during this weekend: twice he was shoved onstage to help out with the Beatsteak’s “Kings Od Metal” because no-one in the audience could be convinced to come up and play. So, he truly earned his new nickname “Mr. Thousand Stages”! And he is seriously considering extending his calling card and adding “Dial A Drummer”. Campino (and guitar roadie Kathleen) watched the spectacle from the edge of the stage.
SATURDAY: To everybody’s surprise, we appeared at the Nürburgring one day earlier, because we wanted to warm up a little bit. And when the Red Hot Chili Peppers, headliners of the evening, had finished their show, we entered a truck on the parking area, which bordered just on the camp site. Whoever had hoped for a peaceful night in the tent, had to think again...
