“Farewell to Rhine Stadium”

The chance: free kick for the all star team. Allofs and Frege are teaming up to undo the defence wall. After the game, all players shake hands and Sven Backhaus explains to Campino how he scored the winning goal.
14:30 hrs.: the all star team had to submit against Fortunas “Old Boys” by 1:0. 21.000 onlookers witnessed the dramatic match. Though the song “Danke für die schöne Zeit” (thanks for the lovely time) probably refers to the Rhine stadium...
Grey panthers: Campino (left) and Fortuna’s legend Peter Biesenkamp leave the lawn to make room for the ultimate Fortuna match to be held in the “concrete bowl”. The stadium’s presenter Dieter Bierbaum and Campino run over the 50 minutes of the match once more.
During the main match of the day, Fortuna, not complete, manages to score a point against Rot-Weiß Essen shortly before the end. March 3, 2002, 17:07 hrs: The Rhine Stadium is now football history.
