Leipzig - Conne Island (10. + 11.10.2003)

Warm-up for Buenos Aires: we were deeply amazed by what happened in front of the stage during our club gigs in Leipzig's "Conne Island", which were our first live concerts since we had finished the "Auswärtsspiel" tour.

Leipzig - Conne Island

No parking, but queuing: As we had sold the tickets for the first show in Leipzig via our homepage exclusively, hardcore fans travelled here from all over Germany.
The story behind the two club shows: Before they were to set off for Argentina once more, the Hosen wanted to start small-scale at the Conne Island club – after all, these were their first live performances since the end of the "Auswärtsspiel" tour in December 2002.
On both evenings, the Hosen played their complete Argentinean set. This also included three new cover versions: "Song 2" by Blur, "Fight For Your Right (To Party)" by the Beastie Boys, and "Rockaway Beach" by the Ramones.
Campino also insisted on giving a rather free rendition of a track by the Doors (without singing it!): "Well, Show Me The Way To The Next Whiskey Bar!" The audience answered the singer’s prayers...
The final picture on the second day at the Conne Island: "You’ll Never Walk Alone" saw the stage stormed and, with the blue and white flag flying, the train was set in motion. Next stop for the Hosen-Express: Argentina.
